HR Assistant - Graduate or Ex-Apprentice Opportunity - atomos

Description : HR Assistant - Graduate or Ex-Apprentice Opportunity. Company : atomos. Location : Hybrid remote in London SE1

Career
This role is perfect for a driven ex-apprentice or graduate with 1yr experience in an office environment (placement, or post graduation). You are ambitious and hungry for development. Maybe you haven't found that graduate path, or you've started work but want to switch to HR, or you got sold an HR role but your manager doesn't develop you.

Do you want a career, not just have a job? Are you willing to pay your dues to succeed?

About the role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role will have 3 dimensions:

  • HR administration – the first priority will be to use our systems to automate HR admin processes (guidance given). Long term you will spend about 1/3 of your hours delivering HR administration.
  • Recruitment Support – phone screening candidates and supporting managers in high quality interviewing and selection to meet our mission of increasing talent quality.
  • HR Projects – support the Chief People Officer in ad-hoc projects including policy reviews, employment law templates and guides.

This is a fast development role and you are expected to outgrow this role within 2 years. Full training and support will be given. To enable more interesting projects you must prioritise administrative tasks (having a senior line manager means I am not willing to cover your administration, I will cover your projects if needed).

You don’t need HR knowledge, but you will need to learn fast. As a medium sized company you will receive informal coaching and be expected to self-learn (we can direct you where to look).

  • Learn UK employment law - you can start with a low base point, but you must be happy to learn employment law.
